Almost two years working in Blast Radius, it’s time to move on, it’s been a great ride with great talented people, cheers Blastees. Now a new adventure, I will be joining the great design studio Concrete in Toronto, exited with the new opportunity and the excellent work the studio delivers. Soon more news.

Last Winter
Last winter we didn’t have so much snow, but I loved this day… walking my daughter to school under this snow storm.

Been busy lately, with some interesting projects in the office, and some good experiments and personal projects soon to be publish. One news is that I was invited to participate in the exhibition DesignPolitics 2010, glad to participate, please review their website.

Three years ago I had the pleasure to be part of Semana_d: Diseñoamérica, an international event of lectures and workshops organized by the Design Faculty of Universidad del Desarrollo in Santiago, Chile — Event where I did a lecture and share the experience with great talented professionals like Rebeca Méndez and Adam Eewens, Kid Gaucho, DAf, Filete, Siete Rayas, among others. Around a week ago I received a book designed by the university about the event showcasing some of my work. Thanks to Sergio Majluf for sending this!.

Designers Books, is a great site of excellent examples of how a book can be designed, different compositions, materials, ways of interpretation of ideas in the tangible and unique way of a book.

My friend Rodrigo went back to Chile and sent me a picture of this paint I did for him some years ago. Acrylic over wood — I am working on some other paintings lately, fun times – it was a long time I didn´t get my hands in some paint.

A pause…
Putting a pause in your own studio after 8 years of working by yourself is pretty difficult, but it´s time for a change, it´s time for a new challenge, today we closed H23 Diseño Ltda. (actually we paused it), and a new adventure is coming soon, somewhere else, outside of Chile.
